R C Helicopters
The most difficult part of operating R.C. helicopters is making sure everything is perfect for lift-off. Those with no experience should bring a friend who can adequately set-up your new R.C. helicopter base. However, many hobbyists don't know of anyone with considerable R.C. helicopter expertise. For these people, it helps to follow a few simple rules. First and foremost, make sure your R.C. helicopters are on a flat surface before take-off. Even the slightest tilt in the launch pad could cause your helicopter to careen wildly to the side, making stabilization very difficult. The launch base that is included with your helicopter should suffice, but you may wish to use a level to make sure that everything is evenly balanced. The ultimate goal of the R.C. helicopter hobbyist is a nice, even lift-off. The ideal lift-off should see the helicopter moving less than six inches to any side. Once you've achieved this, your helicopter will be hovering above the ground, ready for any instructions you might have. Helicopter piloting is mainly about mastering the hover, so practice this more than any other maneuver. World Trading 23 has some great R.C. helicopters, all at unbeatable prices. Take a look at the mini-helicopters, which are great for training new owners. In fact, if you are purchasing a high-end R.C. helicopter with a limited amount of training, you should definitely consider buying an inexpensive training chopper, as well. This is certainly a less expensive option than learning to fly a costly R.C. helicopter through trial and error.
